County government
Anaconda-Deer Lodge is a consolidated city-county with a self-government charter: one government serves both the county and its city, led by an elected chief executive and a commission. Its charter sets which offices are elected, so check the county's website for the current list.

Small counties often combine offices (for example, sheriff and coroner). Your county's ballot shows exactly which seats are separate.
Cities and towns
Your county's government is also its city government, so the offices above cover both.
Schools and local districts
- School board trustees: find your district in the OPI schools directory. Elections every May.
- Conservation district supervisors: see the DNRC conservation districts list.
- Fire, water and sewer, hospital and other special districts: ask the county election office which districts cover your address.
- Appointed county and city boards: check the county website or call the commissioners' office for openings.
